Hello

I am building a pc for someone.

The pc will have a micro ATX mb.  The pc parts will have a i3, 16 GB of DDR3 ram, a ssd, a hdd, a GTX750 or 960 and 2-4 case fans, and a after market air cpu cooler.

I have a old Sycthe Kamariki 4 750 watt psu that is about 5 years old.  It came out of a pc that was used about 13-16 hours a day everyday for about 5 years.

Would the psu be ok to use in the new build or should I purchase a new one?

I'd buy a new one, but if you feel comfortable with using a PSU that has been used that much, go ahead. It seems to get OK reviews.

PS: i3 and GTX 750/960 with 16GB RAM? Why so much RAM?

My pc I use for productivity work and I want to upgrade to 32 GB of ram.  So I am going to put my 16 GB of ram into the system I am building for the person.

ok after a bit of searching it seems like a good psu so i think you will be fine but not completely sure, but seeing how much its been used it seems like a very durable psu so it should be fine

Spoiler

My system is the Dell Inspiron 15 5559 Microsoft Signature Edition

Appears to be a good PSU - short summary to get straight to the point http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/scythe-kamariki-4-550-w-power-supply-review/10/

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
