So I recently bought and got into Titanfall after trying out Black Ops 3, really like the movement aspect, finding out it was pretty much based on Titanfall, so bought that instead. I absolutely love Titanfall, it's been such a blast (and I've gotten quite good at it).

However, today I checked the number of players online (I live in the UK) and there were about 1300 players online.

1300!? That's fuck all!

What are your opinions of the game and should it have more players?

Also, if you fancy playing some Titanfall with me (or BF4, I'm not picky), add me on Origin: CaptainRiding

I'm looking forward to Titanfall 2 and what it brings to the table.

Boring game, no content, no fun. Honestly surprising there's still 1300 people playing it.

I'm surprised 10-fold more people still play Call of Duty.

On another note, I enjoyed my little 48 hours (I think?) with the game. I only played using the smart pistol and nothing else. I literally didn't even use the titans(that's how they're called, right?) all that often. Most of the time I would just let the AI do its job while I was killing people with the OP pistol.

Seriously, the smart pistol makes the game. That and the pretty slick movement. It's fun for a few hours, but then...there's nothing.

The problem I have with Titanfall is that because it's multiplayer only, it's trying to be a competitive FPS, and really it's not good enough compared to CS:GO in that regard. It's neat, but not something I'd really delve into.

I absolutely agree with this. CS:GO is way too far ahead of anything else in terms of pure skill required and competitiveness. However, it is very difficult for beginners to adopt: no one can deny this. Whilst I sometimes enjoy playing CS:GO, I just find Titanfall more fun.

I actually liked it over the other shooters at the time. My only issue with it was how laggy my connection was on some matches, which led to me being butthurt that some guy runs into the room and instakills me (from my perspective).

CoD actually has content.

What do you mean? I'd argue that it has a lack of decent quality content. The campaign is weak, the gameplay isn't as good as other shooters like BF4, Titanfall (in my opinion), or CS:GO. The way the maps work just inspire one man army madness.

At least the latest titles with those power suits can finally provide an explanation for the one man army.

A handful of guns and maps that follow the ABC methodology doesn't exactly make a great game. CoD, as much as people bitch about it, has substance.

I still disagree, the content feels bland. Furthermore, it's not really evolved much.

Titanfall was stepping into new territory. Whilst the game is lacking content (a point I wholly agree with), at least the content that's there is somewhat solid (with the exception of the campaign and that fucking Smart Pistol). It makes me excited for the Titanfall sequel.

i think the game is pretty balanced for the most part but suffers from what most balanced games suffer from. its just plain boring and it has a lack of content. so i regret getting it when it came out, but eh whatever

It had a nice concept, but was implemented terribly. The game never really "took off" per se, it was popular for about a month then just died.

Should it have more players? It would if there was more to the game, jumping around shooting each other isn't really enticing.

I think the main problem it had was that it was overhyped by EA and fans, and when people actually started playing it it just fell flat on its face.

When they did the update where it connected based on rank and not connection it murdered it. Literally every match became retarded and 7/10 people were teleporting or lagging all over the map because the game figured an Aussie, several Germans, and a Huetopian were proper opponents when I'm on Eastern US.

I can't say I've seen anything significant that would indicate this. Maybe my scenario is different as I'm in the UK.

Maybe. Every time I go to play it I never get connected to more than 3 NA players. The rest are from all over EU.
