for streaming i highly recomend my build, it has 4 cores and 8 threads, just like and i7, so it will be perfect for streaming

No, the xeon 1220 v3 is not hyperthreaded.

The 1231 v3 is tho.

e3 1231 v3 and above are i7 with the igpu (intel hd) disabled and ecc memory support.

How does the Xeon compare to the i5?

well, the one i put in my build is worse since its lower clocked and doesn't have hyperthreading but they are great cpu's and are usually neck to neck to the i5/i7

The 8xxx series is better for multitasking than any i5 and with the money saved you get 16gb of ram, a SSD, a better motherboard, and a better PSU then some of the lists.
