Hey,

since day one my computer doesn't notice when I'm running a full screen vessel video and will start turning off its screen after 5 minutes as if it was inactive. I'm running windows 8.1 and my browser is maxthon. Do you have any solutions besides changing the timeout limit?

Cheers

sorry for wasting your time....firefox works just fine *facepalm*

i'm a religious chrome user, and even i test other browsers first before thinking something more deeply is wrong.

some browsers tend to do odd things at some times. from the little time i've spent with maxthon, i remember it being "as lightweight as possible" which kinda makes it very prone to have issues like this.

Well.. If you still want to use Maxthon, what you could do is running a YouTube video in 240p in the background too? So it doesn't go to sleep.
