CPU and GPU cooling problems Help!

Okay hopefully this is the right place to put this topic... but I'm hoping someone can help me with "temperature" problems with my PC. But first my build:

My build is a "modified" 4K build Linus did awhile back.

CPU: Intel Core i7 4930K Unlocked Six Core Processor with HyperThreading
SSD: Intel 730 Series 480GB SSD
Motherboard: ASUS X79 Deluxe
Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 760T
RAM: 32GB G.SKILL 2400MHz Quad Channel DDR3
Power Supply: Cooler Master V Series 850W
CPU Heatsink: Corsair H110 Dual 140mm Liquid Cooler
Fans: Stock fans that came with the case
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC

My build is only 3 months old.

So onto the problem. My CPU Temps, according to SpeedFan, is idling at 95°C and during gaming is going to 100°C.
My GPU is idling at 30°C and during light gaming (TF2, CS:GO) goes to over 60°C.

So for the CPU, is there something wrong I did with the water cooler? Maybe the stock fans/get the Bit Phoenix Pro fans like the guide says? Or the fans are in the wrong position? Or maybe I should get a new CPU cooler all together... I'm looking at air coolers, since the H110 is my first water cooler, and it left a bad first experience with AIO water coolers.

For my GPU, I don't think over 60°C is too unusual.. but the thing is.. when it goes over 60°C my GPU crashes... making me have to reset my computer.. I have MSI Afterburner to help control the fan speed.. because apparently the GTX 980 has a silent gaming thing on it.. MSI Afterburner is keeping me sane from my GPU constantly crashing... but the problem with controlling the fan speed is, If I want to play WoW or some graphic intensive games, I have to crank the fan speed up, which makes it really loud. Should I change my GPU out? I'm thinking of getting a EVGA 950, since Linus reviewed it, and it isn't really expensive. The problem with changing the graphics card out, would be I don't know what to do with the GTX 980... as in, I don't want to keep it, and I (stupidly) don't have warranty for it.. unless EVGA has a warranty for it or something that I don't know about...

Anyways, any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!

For the CPU remount it and re apply thermal paste. If it is still an issue RMA the cooler.

Truly, doubt it. Thats a rebrand of a SeaSonic

Use another software? Speedfan can be s**t for monitoring temps use CPUIDHWmonitor

so all brands have a faulty product now and then

So the problem you are having is 99% due to the H110 not mounting properly to the CPU. it is known to not fit very well on some mobos with intel CPU's. If you get some washers to get a little extra hight on the h110 that usually works for most people. If you do a google search I'm sure you'll find other ways to fix it, but I'm pretty sure thats then problem. Your GPU temps are fine. Great even. 100C will kill your CPU though.

@Toasted_Toast for the GPU you could try and get a custom cooler for it. NZXT offers something. You could also try re applying thermal, paste but I don't think anything is wrong.

EVGA is a very nice company. Gave my cousin a 970 over a 960 because of 2 problems with an RMA. You could try to RMA it. As mentioned above could be the power supply but I,doubt it. Thats a good power supply.

Yeah but it's unlikely. That should be one of the last things we rule out.

look up what afterburner says for cpu temps.

and remount the cooler (does this thing even have contact?)

Yep, a component can always be faulty.

I dont really think there is a magic 60°C barrier that crashes your gpu, but maybe if your gpu draws so much power that it goes over 60°C your psu shuts down.

Have you tried just stopping the fans on a light synthetic load to see if the temps are really the problem?

Anyways, id fix the cpu first. Probably not seated properly....

Also look at the cpu temp with coretemp or some other programms, or maybe in the bios after a while idling.

Yeah.

@OP Make sure all the wires are in all the way.

Wow! I was not expecting so many people to help withing couple of minutes from posting this. Thank you guys so much! I'll definitely try your guys' suggestions.

H110 comes with a pre-applied thermal paste, so I just used the pre-applied one. I'll try re-seating everything, and also try using a different thermal paste, and update you guys on what happened. Again, I can't thank you guys enough for helping me.   :D

EDIT: Okay so you guys were right! SpeedFan is just being inaccurate.. I used both coretemp, and CPUIDHWMonitor and they both said my CPU is actually 27°C on idle... What the heck.. how does that happen? Stupid SpeedFan.. Anyways trying your guys' suggestion on the GPU now.

2nd EDIT: Okay so I was completely wrong.. GPU Temps aren't what's crashing it.. I don't think.. So what I did was return the GPU to stock specs, disabled MSI Afterburner, and ran Heaven Benchmark on ultra. GPU temps maxed out at 73°C, but no GPU crash... so now my question is.. what's causing the screens going black in certain games I play now. >.<

To EDIT#1. Literally the first thing I checked was how many celsius 95 fahrenheit is. So there's that solved.

To EDIT#2. Black screens in games can be driver crashing, issues with resolution and/or settings. Or just games having issues with certain combinations of drivers and OS.
