Interim Card

Hey all,

 

I currently have a Sparkle GTX 460, but the cooler on the card is trying very hard to die. Looking to replace / upgrade it without breaking the bank, as I am planning on doing a completely new build around the time that CrowFall comes out.  So I'm looking for a mid range card that will last me for the next few years and then be a secondary rig in the future.  I just saw the LTT video on the 950 and that caught my interest, but I thought I'd come here and see what other people thought.

Why not just head to Craigslist or something and get a second hand card that fits your budget?

Honestly that was my plan, but I thought a new card with a warranty might be a bit more... safe.

Honestly just pick the most expensive card for your budget, there is no such thing as a "best bang for your buck" card.

 

I'm just worried about going too high end and having it out perform the rest of the system needlessly. I have an i5 760 processor and 8GB RAM.

 

I was recently looking at something like an r9 390.
