That's not what I'm referring to.

could be a case of what I mentioned before then a person feeling guilty about it and coming clean

 

could be a case of they felt it would get them attention and again them coming clean.

Eh imo its something that could be worthy of discussion assuming people are not hateful/mocking/condescending using terms like "web-trannies" since I think there is some validity in my statement over it being escapism but this isnt a psychology forum lol

Maybe they admire those personalties? I believe avatars and descriptions you seen are probably of famous people, probably they love character, personality and work of those females. It applies to my avatar too. I really loved the character after watching series.

Why do some profiles have the description filled out with information which leads you to believe they are a female, when actually the poster is a male? Seen a few which I where the avatar is a picture of the woman, photos of the woman all over the biography and stuff, but it isn't her who posts.

 

Why would you pretend to be a female on an internet forum? Even when I was a much younger person, I don't think I'd have been able to get my head around why you'd want to do so.

Maybe I'm not a 14 year old male impersonating Dan Castellaneta.

Maybe I'm a 17 year old woman who happens to have that name. :^)
