Needing Adware cleaner/remover.

Am in a bit of a pickle. My sister's laptop seems to be infected with something nasty. The internet for her laptop is ungodly slow. I have bitdefender on it and it couldn't find anything.

 

I know she has a broswer hijacker on currently. And I need something to remove that as well.

 

Her OS system is windows 10.

 

Any good programs ?

AdwCleaner, Malwarebytes, Spybot Search and Destroy those are the ones that come to mind.

Did you try to reinstall Windows 10?  Backup the files first though of course.

 

This I think would be the easiest option and the one most likely to succeed as well.  But it is by no means the ONLY solution.  We're gonna need some more information to suggest solutions though!

This isnt a solution 99% of the people on here know that "reinstall windows" will fix nearly anything you run into

He clearly wants to avoid the headache of having to do this if something can be figured out.

if bit defender doesn't see anything..I have my doubts that its a virus causing the main problem...you might have a few bad things on the laptop..but its probably not the main problem

Well it isn't necessarily the first thing that comes into some people's minds.  I was just suggesting it... if he doesn't want to do it that's fine but it's most likely how I would go about solving the problem.
