My PC is slowing down in performance :/

wolfie495

I have a crappy 600 dollar PC build and on the first day I got it, CS:GO got 180-200 fps but now, im lucky to get 100 (same video settings). I cleaned it out a bit just in case but that didnt seem to help, anyone know why?

easy thing to do

CTRL + R --> type msconfig --> uncheck everything that you dont need running  --> restart computer

Unless its windows 8 or higher, then its in the task manager under startup

Vertical Sync being on and Multicore Rendering being off are the biggest drains of FPS in CS:GO. I know you said you had the same video settings, but it's the first thing that I could think of that could make that much of a difference.

Other things that it may be:

- Defrag disk

- Disk full

- Too much junk. Run CCleaner

- Graphics driver problem. Reset to default or change to older version

- Something running in background

Software related.  Just save yourself time and headache and just do a clean install of Windows and be done with it.
