Just for fun, I want to put a GT 120 which I have laying around, into my pc to test it with the 8350 (ignore bottlenecks). Is this even possible? First, could I have the monitors plugged into the gtx 760 I have but run off of the gt 120 only? Not only that but is it possible to install 2 different graphics drivers at once? Or....no?

CPU - FX 8350 @ 4.5GHZ GPU - Radeon 5700  Mobo - M5A99FX Pro R2.0 RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16GB @ 1600 PSU - Corsair CX600M CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO Storage - Samsung EVO 250GB, WD Blue 1TB

Whatever graphics card your monitors are plugged into will be the one to render the image.

Ok, in that case, could I still have both of the graphics drivers installed? One for the 120 and the other for the 760?

Yes, you can do that as long as you're using a driver both cards support.

I am not sure. NVIDIA uses universal drivers now that work for multiple generations of cards but I don't know if they will work that far back.

Yes. You need drivers for both. Whatever card you plug your monitor into will be the card used to render frames for that specific monitor.

Not sure. It might actually work.

Linus made a video about a PC which had two AMD cards and two NVidia cards installed. He was able to switch between them somehow.

I don't know if it is possible to have two cards with different drivers from the same company. I think if you install the GT 120 drivers and then try to install the GTX 760 drivers it will overwrite the old ones.

That's something you've to try out.

Looked at the latest driver documentation. The latest driver isn't compatible with the GT120.

@DarkEnergy. The first driver that worked with the GTX 760 isn't compatible with the GT120 either.

I guess I'll be doing a lot of reinstalling then. I just plugged in the 120. I'm going to download the drivers.

So this is interesting after I restarted. Right now I have my main monitor plugged into the GT 120 and my secondary plugged into my GTX 760. I have an image on both screens. Windows installed some sort of drivers for the 120 which seems to have overwritten the drivers for the 760.

How is the 760 taking it? What driver revision is installed?

It seems the 760 just isn't being used at all even though I have one of the monitors plugged into it. Windows downloaded driver version 341.74. Now, I turned off the computer and plugged the second monitor back into the 760 meaning all monitors are back to the 760. After turning the computer on, games went 760 speeds. More interesting is that it was still using the driver version 341.74 downloaded for the 120.

The latest driver for the GT120 is 341.81 which doesn't even support the 760 at all.

Yes, I noticed there was an update for the gt 120 driver. But still, I was able to use both monitors plugged into the 2 different graphics cards on the same driver, but games weren't 760 speeds they were 120 speeds.

I don't think it'll work unless you can somehow use a revision for the 760 and the GT120 simultaneously, which I doubt will work.

It worked, I was using it (the GT 120 driver), and both monitors were on and running.

No, I'm using the 341.74 version only.

Okay. I was saying that you could try using two revisions simultaneously. In addition, it's not working because the GTX 760 is not running as it should be, according to the information you provided.

I don't think there will be a way to run both versions at once. I guess the answer would be that yes, you can get an image from 2 different graphics cards on 2 different monitors at once, but you can only have 1 driver installed and whichever driver that is, the graphics card for that driver will run full speed.
