Back Story: I'm moving the the US at the end of this month and i'm unable to take my current computer with me, I've since decided to sell my current rig in favor of a cheaper solution, i already have a buyer and he is paying $440 usd for it *while i get to keep my current storage solution*

This is my current build

Storage: Sandisk Ultra II 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($88.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $194.76
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I've since given myself a budget of $600 usd before rebates
I'm also trying really hard to keep to a black and white build scheme and I've done my best to ensure that my new build will outperform my current rig at least in games
So here is what i came up with , tell me what you think *remember i get to keep my SSD and HDD*
Option 1

CPU: AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor  ($119.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($89.98 @ Directron)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 2GB Video Card  ($184.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($68.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $582.81

Option 2

Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($115.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 2GB Video Card  ($184.98 @ SuperBiiz)

Pentium isnt really worth it the Option 1 would be better. However ditch the 212EVO and go for i3 and use the stock cooler and then Option 2 would be better.

stay away from corsair cx psu line

Yea. They are rated for 30*C operation which is very very low so I would also recommend looking at different PSU.

Nice build, but like you said, you get to keep your storage, so save the money he has allotted for that and get a better psu, it's a r9 290 after all

That actually looks pretty epic, i have a few questions tho

Doesn't the Fx6350 outperform that i3? especially after overclocks?

and how much better is the 290 than the 380 ?

the 380 is practically the 285 so the 290 significantly destroys it, and for the 6300/6350 it depends on the game but most of the time the i3 will perform better and you also have the ability to upgrade to an i5 without having to get a new motherboard
