Does any one know if the issues with the coil whine has been fixed? The pump noise isn't an issue as it will go in a custom loop so the pump will be gone anyway.

Coil whine is on a unit-by-unit basis, it's not something that is "fixed" as if it were a problem on every card and now won't be present on any card in the future.

no haven't bought the things yet, planning a 3 way crossfire custom loop, but jumping back and forth between the Fury X and the 980ti's

As far as I know the big issues with it were fixed soon after launch by a pump revision.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.
