I'm building a pc for only gaming. I need help on which motherboard I should get. I want to be able to use an overclockable cpu in the future and use larger gpu's like gtx 970's. What's the best deal I can get for a mobo for these needs (preferably red and H97)?

Get yourself an Intel Z97 chipset based motherboard. You can't go wrong with the upgrade possibilities and the features that go with those motherboards, which includes multiple PCI-e x16 bus slots.

 

Something like this will do the job and any Intel LGA 1150 processor will work.
