Virus! Help!

Hello, my friend told me to download this file, and its been opening this one youtube video, but I obviously set a restore point before downloading, I couldnt do a restore point, it wouldnt work, I restarted and now I type in System Restore and its not there anymore. I'm not sure if this is a virus or if nothing else will happen but this is definently suspicious

 

EDIT: Nevermind, system restore is there, but when I click it it wont do anything, is this a RAT?

P.S. After deleting the virus file, I could open System restore, but not use it. No more random youtube videos popping up.

When I have viruses (pretty much never, but still) I always run these scans (all free versions): Avast, Malwarebytes and HitmanPro (have only used this one once and chose the trial which worked fine).

Run full and quick scans a couple of times.

Problem is, I deleted Malwarebytes and Bitdefender a long time ago because I thought they caused me issues, the first thing I did is download malwarebytes, but I had an error that I never got before and it wouldnt let me download it

I usually boot into safe mode and runs virus scans. If I don't think it's gone I'll do a fresh install of windows. 

 

I only have windows, bf4, and applications on my ssd.

 

 

Some guy I met on Steam when we played cs go  :(

i know the feeling!

i had 2 viruses on my old PC

one was a worm that didnt allow me to access task manager and system restore

but thank god my PC was slow enough at boot so i could go to task manager, and i closed down system 32, i thought this was the virus,lol it looked suspicious, but it worked!, the virus closed, and i did system restore xD

Some random guy added me from Spain, and he gave me a free game then he traded me 26 weapons for TF2, and was fine with getting a basic pack in the trade.

Some people on there are a cool then you have the others.

More like have common sense. If someone was like "Hey friend click on this link and download this file, cause were friends and that's what friends do!" I would start to raise a few alarms in my head you know?

The most consistent advice you will ever get on virus removal: don't

Back up your files, then wipe and reinstall windows. Then, don't download random files from the internet, and keep microsoft security essentials on and up to date.

Try to run Adwcleaner, then malwarebytes... this does the trick almost all the time
