They've been working on those a couple of years now.  I'm not quite sure what the benefit of a closed planar magnetic would be.  Certainly too nice to use in a studio.  Too wooden too.

Close back = even MORE! bass response. Though it could come in at a hit and over power my precious mids, and treble might become drowned out.

shut up and take my mon.... oh these are going to hurt at around 4-5K

Hey at least its going to be more worth it then getting HD800 and all the stuff to attempt to make those more then an overly treble happy referencing headphone with not bass response.

Then this pair of LCD's, I could get a tube amp and LCD 2's, which make an infinitely better listening experience then the HD800's, for less then the HD800's
