from where? It just gives that popup and as soon as you click OK, it done poofs.

thats where the error pops up from. getting it from the start menu yields nothing at all. It has been reinstalled several times.

Well not sure then man.. Reinstall always usually works.. Clean install with ccleaner also? If not try that ...

Never had that happen to me before, but a uninstall and then reinstall should fix it. If you've tried that and it doesn't work, install a previous driver.

Sounda like part of the ccc interface has somehow been deleted or corrupted, a complete driver uninstall and reinstall should fix it, if not it might be a good idea to check the s.m.a.r.t status of your storage to make sure it's not dying and corrupting stuff with it.

THEN reinstall Catalyst drivers.
