Move the "-6x" to the other side by adding it to both sides. So "-6x-28=4x" would become "-28=10x" because adding "6x" to "-6x" would cancel it out, "4x+6x = 10x". Now you're left with "-28=10x", then you divide both sides by "10", that would give you "-2.8=x". Since "10x" divided by "10" would leave "1x", which is the same as "x", and "-28" divided by "10" is "-2.8".

Add +6x to both sides of the equation (that basically moves the -6x to the right side)

  -6x-28+6x=4x+6x

why +6x? because -6x+6x=0

-28=+10x

now divide this by 10, which gives you x:

-28/10 =x

You basically want to isolate or get all of the "X's" to one side of the "=" sign and then solving from there.
