Unity 5

Hi, i have a macbook air (mid 2011) and i want to download unity 5 for game development. I dont seem to be able to download unity. I have the space required and when i do download it a folder pops up with the "standard assets" inside and thats it. How do i run unity, and what are the required specs? Please help.

you laptop should be able to handle it.

I assume you're running OSX? (not Windows). So is it not installed as an app/program? Can you find it in Launchpad?

im running the latest version of osx and i cant find it anywhere in the search tool

its not in launchpad either

I don't have a lot of experience with OSX, but don't you have to drag something to an application folder to install stuff?

Otherwise I would try a reinstall.
