So i have a KHX13C9B1/4R peice of ram that is 4gb but since they don't sell that one anymore and i need to grab another 4gb for my extra pc would it be possible to get the HX316C10F/4 and use that with it? I can clock them both to be the same speed but i don't know what the timings are or if this would work and if not what problems might i encounter. Thanks a lot everyone!

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Mixing RAM is generally fine so long as they are the same standard of course but it isn't recommended as instability can sometimes occure though you should be fine.

It should work, but its not guaranteed. At this point of time, I haven't experienced any incompatibilities with current RAM(most of the problems I had was when DDR3 was introduced, and OCZ).
