You could clone it....tho you should make 2 partitions out of it.one for os and one for all the other stuff and put a fresh copy of windows.I don't know any cloning software so i can't help here....but you can google it i guess or search the forum.best of luck

@Enderman  @Sauron @Tech_Dreamer @Nineshadow @Volbet....can anyone help him out?

Yes. Do use 2 partitions. It's so extremely helpful. Use one for the operating system and one for all your data. You can make even a third partition to organize your data in, let's say one partition for games and one for photos/videos/music/programs. That's what I do :D.

I don't really use cloning software , I do everything myself. I just do a clean install of Windows (or if I want to install a Linux distro, I use a USB stick with Ubuntu GNOME with most of the programs I need already installed) , copy all the files I want to copy, then install any leftover programs.

The one HDD is extremely loud. I don't trust it. No idea how to do anything you've said also.

Plug the second HDD. Create a new partition for the OS , only like 100GB big or so. Then, with the rest, make another partition. Copy all the stuff you want to the 2nd partition, do a clean install of windows on the first partition afterwards. Then you just install what other programs you need. That's what I'm talking about.

If the old hdd is the same size or smaller you can use a backup program like these to make an image out of your old drive and simply restore it on the new one. If any space is left you can then make a second partition.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Alright very new to this... Sorry,

Apparently the drive has 931GBs. I'm guessing the other 69Gbs is a partition? So just copy the stuff from my old HDD to the other one.

Also how do I do a clean install of windows?

No.

Show us a screenshot in disk management (run -> diskmgmt.msc)
