For some reason i'm interested in the language and i really want to look into learning it, my only problems is to be honest i'm quite intimidated to learn the language because of how polar opposite the language is compared to english. what do you guys think? with enough effort do you think i could learn the language? i know i can but i'm just wondering how much of a difficulty i would have.

Im thinking the same thing about German, it would really help in European servers in games which is what I play on all the time.

German is much more difficult

its grammar is complex unlike most  other European languages

Its very different and alot of work but once you know one you can learn more much easier but the English langue is SOOO different from all the other . Russian and Polish are similar Polish people that speak polish can understand words in Russian because there so close.

Really I'm finding german is easier to pick up rather than French.

the cold war is over

LDlJy2Z.jpg debatable.

@Air tree you'll have to commit to practicing daily and often. Don't bother with Rosetta stone crap, get a proper grammar book, look up some solid online resources, and expose yourself to more Russian media. It helps a lot if you can take a traditional class.

It's definitely up there with Arabic, Chinese, and Jap.

I heard somewhere that people that learned English as there first language find it alot harder to learn others compared to others?

A few people i know learnt bits and piece of alot different languages by staying in backpackers when they where traveling about

Its all about those volumetric clouds
