The way you correct him should be very genuine. He won't dislike you. Unless you are scoring poor marks in his subject. lol

Its ok. I mean technically he is wrong, but practically that is a thing. Or atleast it was till a few years ago. So no worries there

yes and no - igpus used to be on the motherboard itself rather than on the cpu, but since he specifically said graphics cards there can be no confusion

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

thats why i said technically he is wrong. also the OP could have misheard and he said GPU, not a graphics card ;) people use these terms interchangably

I mean, that depends on how you look at it; if you look at it as the single word (card), then that would most likely be referring to a dedicated card, though integrated graphics can still be considered a graphics card

There are still boards with an iGPU, that being said they're AM3+ so they're not the most recent boards xD

A few different boards with an iGPU

no, when you say "card" you're unmistakeably referring to a separate expansion card. igpus are only that, gpus without the card.

Well, a graphics card is the part of the system that produces the image, so I'd personally still allow integrated graphics to be referred to as a graphics card, and I think my tutor still calls integrated graphics a graphics card... You don't have to take the card part literally, and I don't think it's the case of a yes or no answer

Anyway, I never said you were wrong, I just said some people, mainly oldies, still refer to integrated graphics as the graphics card
