Should I RMA my laptop?

goaway
Go to solution Solved by D4RK,

The black dots are dust. The problem is that colors appear orange around the edge of the screen.

here is what i can tell you about this problem, it happen when your screen gets hot or when the screen layers get detached a bit from each other. this problem wont go on its own and the older your screen the more likely this orange spot will grow bigger and other spots might show up, so you are better off sending it in for RMA because now or later you will have to send it.

My computer, an Asus Rog g771 with a 1920x1080 IPS Panel, has gotten a wierd orange tint at the edge of the screen. Colors look normal in the center of the screen, but there is a one inch border around the monitor where colors appear more orange than they should. The computer is about 8 months old, and has approximately 14 months left on the insurance. Do you think I have a valid RMA reason, or is this just a normal occurence for an IPS panel? In the picture below the white is supposed to be the same shade all around, but looks more orange on the edge. Its clearer in person than on the image.

While you can, of course RMA it. Never worth having a faulty laptop. Firstly though, make sure it is faulty and not just something silly.

yes, I bought both cards used, one just happened to be a 4gb model. when sli is not supported by a game, I can at least utilize more than 2gb vram from the first card.
