5820K or 5930K

Metro

Hello

I will be getting two GPUs, one PCIE SSD and I might get another one later on.

This means the 5820K would give me x8, x8, x4, x4

The 5930K would give me x16, x16, x4, x4

I know it does not really effect performance but what about Microstutter in games.

What one would you recommend

Thanks

Doesn't matter in performance, The first 2 slots will utilize the GPU and the x4 and x4 will utilize the SSD

if I said anything wrong correct me

What about Microstutter though at x8

won't be a problem

pci speed doesn't affect this much ( except 4x under crossfire )

but IMO I would get the 5820k unless you really have 300$ sitting around

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

The 5820k is objectively better for cost to performance. However, when it comes to two powerful cards you may experience some microstutter.

What Graphics Cards are you getting?

Edit: I have a 5930k so I'm a bit biased, but if you have the money and really want the computer to have lasting power I'd suggest the 5930k

? microstutter related to using dual graphics cards will occur wheter you run them a X8/X8 or X16/X16...Pcie 3.0 X8 is not a bottleneck to even the most powerful GPU's you can slide in. Get the 5820K.

Alright, since you're spending so much cash I'd just go with the 5930k.

4500 seems like a lot more money than you need for the rig, this should cost you roughly 3000. Are you buying a prebuilt?

Do you want me to list the specs I want for my computer. It is not prebuilt

That'd be nice. If you're building it, this thing will be God-tier.

Microstutter is generally the fault of either a poorly optimized game or a poorly optimized driver. The number of PCIe lanes is a simple matter of whether there is enough bandwidth that it does not limit the cards, and simply put, PCIe 3.0 8x is enough bandwidth.

I will get another NVMe SSD later on I will be looking for a 1TB one, I was going to get the Intel 750 1.2TB but it is not really a fast SSD as the boot time is very slow, I was also going to get the GTX 980ti Lightning but it will be out at the start of October which is to late, I want my computer before I got back to University

Which is about £5400

If you add £4000 to the trade, I will do it.

I thought the i7-5820k could do SLI with one card at PCIE-3.0x16 and the second at PCIE-3.0x8. And then you'd have four lanes left over for the PCIE SSD.
