Hello all!

Today I put together a new build, am just looking for some opinions and some fixes from the community. Im pretty much trying to get into the next generation of Memory and processing, other then having to buy a $500 cpu and mobo.

If there are ANY suggestions please let me know.

I know my video card is lacking. But I will probably not get the 960 and just wait for a nice 970 or 980 to pop up on hardforum.

Change the SSD out, the V300 series is generally unreliable.

Get an R9 380 instead of the 960. Better performance.

Also get a PSU from EVGA instead of the RM series, they aren't very good.

As mentioned the GPU is more of a placeholder, I don't really go with AMD GPU's just because I owned a 270x for a long time and had alot of issues with it.

The PSU has been changed accordingly.

What SSD do you recommend under <$60

I like this but I suggest a .beQuiet! Pure Rock over the CM212 Evo. Better temps and will be quieter. Also if it's to high above budget you could go down to 8GBs of ram for the time being.

I mean, really don't need Skylake. :\

I second the above statement, especially since you are on a budget. Take it from @Jonnyswboy who is an owner of a Skylake platform. DDR3 will still be revelent for many years to come. Better to invest what you spent on your CPU+Mobo+RAM for your GPU instead which will make a BIG difference in games since going Skylake & DDR4 wont give much (hardly any improvement) over Haswell Refresh & DDR3.
