I'm not modding a case... Yet. I'm going to do a mock up of a case for custom painting. Are all PC cases made with mm measurements or inches? I'm guessing it's millimeters, but Google (and their new logo) reveals nothing on the subject. Maybe I'm not using the right search terms?

It's done in mm. Inches is a horrible measurement, especially when you start getting into fractions of an inch.

Yes, it is terrible. And I hate that I rely on it so much, because in my mind I can understand how long say, a 13" graphics card is. But if you tell me that graphics card is 239mm long, I just blank out and stare into the distance, unable to render anything in my head even resembling a length measurement.

I can understand inches, when done in round inches, but not in 3/8th inches... What the hell is that? 

 

I find it much easier to picture things in mm. Even if it's just a matter of rounding it to cm so it's an easier unit to picture.

I know how you feel... I can't grasp the concept of Celsius. How much is 10C? Oh, gee whiz, I don't know! I can do the math to figure it out, but I can't equate 10 with a feeling of temperature.

10C is like a really warm fridge or chilled display cases for cakes, but as for your case almost all of it is in metric there are some imperial things such as threading where the majority of threads are 6-32 for things and some M3 for other components like SSD or 2.5" drives.
