How do I use it I'm pretty confused.

It's complicated and I'm no expert, my suggestion would be to go onto Youtube.

Buy some compressed air - from local computer store, Best Buy, etc. On the laptop, on the bottom, you should see some air intakes. Blast some air in there. Also, on the exhaust, blast some. SHould be able to get rid of a lot of dust....

speedfan doesnt work with 80% of the laptops i have tried, usually there is no way to control the fan by yourself on a laptop without doing a hardware mod. No clue why it doesnt, but it doesnt. And its a shame it doesnt because it would actually allow me to overclock some lower-power laptops if the fan would always spin at 100%.

My experience with overheating laptops isn't very good but I did fix one really easy. The only thing I can recommend is you get yourself some cheap thermal paste and some cotton swabs. Clean both the heatsink/heatpipe off with the cotton swabs then clean the CPU/GPU with some rubbing alcohol. Put new thermal paste on and check your temps. Most of the time the stock paste is really low quality and ends of dusty and dry. the laptop I did this to had a clogged heatsink and I cleaned it and the temps dropped from 99c to about 80c then after I gave it some new thermal paste it went down to 50c. Now I can't guarantee this will happen for you but if you are skilled enough at building computers or just tinkering with them I would recommend you give it a try.
