Let's start by saying i'm a complete noob and just recently became confortable with opening the sidecase, now the question, i have a H90/Phantom 410, so i can only place the radiator at the top right? now the fan should be where the radiator is, and the radiator should be where the fan is? (see 2/3 pic) It's one AF140 and i've read it's not optimal for radiators so i'm thinking of placing it at the rear for better exhaust and getting one SP140 for the radiator, is that the right thing to do? Now the last question, is the fan in the front even doing anything? there are so many hds that i don't think its pulling cold air for better airflow (see 1 pic).. thanks and sorry for the bad grammar  :)

HDD get mildly warm and should in fact be could at least a little bit so I would try to cool them somehow. Not sure about the fan's placement.

Looks a lil' "ghetto" ;-)

Yes, your front fan isnt doing very much as all the hdd's are in the way.

Getting a sp series fan for the radiator would be good, as then you can use the af fan and put it in the front, so you have 2 fan pulling air in, and 2 fans puling air out.

Right now, you have negative air pressure as you have 2 fans pulling air out, but only one fan pulling air in (that one fan is already blocked pretty badly)

Yes it cools your drives and you want a front intake fan to cool your system. Remember heat rises so the best place ( arguably) is in the top of the case. You need to make sure the fan on the radiator has a static pressure rating those are the best. And yes the sp140 is better on the radiator.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

But the SP140 needs to be above or below the radiator? right now i'm using the AF140 above pushing air into the ceiling

nobody answered my main question unfortunately.

thats been a question of debate for some time now. it boils down to personal preference. i believe as long as you have a good static pressure fan, there isnt a noticible difference either way.
