The asus one is better in every single possible way, unless you really want a touchscreen, which believe me you don't, take the asus one.

The reason why they cost the same is because the Toshiba is a touchscreen and the Asus is not.

But hardware wise the Asus machine is much more powerful in every way.

Yep, that Toshiba laptop is far worse than even my 2010 HP Pavilion DV6 3010AX (one of the all AMD laptops). Same amount of RAM, same HDD capacity, same screen resolution, a larger screen, more USB ports (one doubles as e-Sata), far better CPU, far better dGPU with another Ati iGPU for power saving. And again, its an all-AMD laptop. The Asus on the other hand flogs the crap out of my DV6.
