First build: Bang for Buck

I've been doing lots of research but any tips from more experienced builders would be more than welcome. I plan to use the PC exclusively for gaming (1080p) and am going for best bang for buck performance, while leaving my options open for overclocking and SLI in the future. Thanks for the help!

I would go with gtx 970 if you want best "bang for the buck" if you have the extra cash

Get an A-DATA Sp900 Premier pro SSD instead of that SSD. That SSD you have there is known to not be very good.

Get the GTX 970, an i5 4460 w/ an H97 MoBo and get Win7 or at (whatever is cheaper) and you'll get Win10 for free...

imo, the 7950/960/280/285/380 is insufficient for gaming at 1080p ultra settings. The 970 should be the minimum for that.

I read that I needed a z97 Mobo in case I wanted to overclock in the future

@jheld5475 If you want to OC, yes. But the i5 4690k isn't the best bang-for-the-buck CPU... If you'd buy the 4460 (not overclockable), the H97 MoBo will do the job

So i'd save some money that way but sacrifice overclocking
