Planning on using it in my build and want to know what kind of performance people are getting

All I can say is that it's good for light 1080p. However, a 270X will be better for the price.

if you can spend  a few $ more get a 960 4Gb edition from gigabyte.

you wont regret it over 950 2 GB

the GTX 950 has its place in the market.

 

i'm sad they put a power connector on it tho, i would have very much liked a repeat of the 750

At about a $50 price point increase the R9 380 would be a WAY better choice. If futureproofness was a thing, it would last longer than the gtx 950 in comparison. Although its a great card for mid performance gaming. No problems with LoL or Smite or Dota. CSGO can be run on a potato. I say go for it, but if you have room in the buget go for a R9 380.

It's okay for light gaming but a 270X would be a better choice and if you have money a 280 or 280X would be even better. A 950 is still a decent budget though for light games like CSGO etc.

There are be much better deals such as- 

PowerColor TurboDuo Radeon R9 285

XFX Double D Radeon R9 280

 

Check the prices for R9 285 or 280 in the store you are buying from, because most of them are on sale right now and they are much greater cards than the GTX 950 and even in some cases - 960.
