SSHD vs SSD?

I know there is a big benefit with a SSD over a HDD but what about a SSHD

sshds are a driver nightmare. I'd stay away. Just use a small ssd for your os and standard 7200rpm hdds for your data.

All a SSHD has is a normal HDD for storage and a small SSD for cache which makes the drive fall in between SSDs and normal HDDs. They are only useful if you you want faster speeds than a HDD but can't get a HDD+SSD.

And the OS decides what goes there, so it's pointless to even have an SSHD.

with an SSHD you cant choose what gets the faster speeds and what doesnt

it chooses for you

and it also adds latency for the caching algorithm and constantly moving files from the ssd to the hdd sections
