Will Intel ever release their broadwell chips? I know they said they would but it's still not being able to be found without a high price. And If you wondering I want broadwell because it performs better than sky lake in games because of its 128MB L4 cache according to tech report.

They were released a looong time ago...

PS: the only reason to get Broadwell over skylake is iGPU, otherwise the extra price isn't worth

This is a signature.

They did, and then quickly released Skylake a few months after.

Broadwell is a joke. Unless you're building a HTPC and heat and power consumption is a concern, get haswell or preferably skylake

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Well I'm planning a htpc that will have a dual 80mm rad for a processor and a gtx 970. And when you do don't use the igpu the eDram turns into L4 cache. Here is proof http://techreport.com/review/28751/intel-core-i7-6700k-skylake-processor-reviewed/6

They are supposedly having massive supply issues atm with all their 14 mm processes.

See the news article about broadwell and skylake stock in NA/SA

No idea what the fuck happened, but apparently it was a pretty darn big incident to not be able to release their cpus even 4 weeks behind schedule enough to fill the admittedly tiny demand.
