Super Tight Budget < £200 GBP

abberto

Hi people,

If I was to build this, would it handle Football Manager 2015 using the 3D settings? I would plan to upgrade each part over time but, whilst saving for a wedding, this is pretty much my budget (it's a hard life, I know)

go used. getting something like a 610 will be worse then integrated graphics.

Ah ok. What are your experiences with eBay? I don't usually mind using it but I wouldn't want to get stung on there with faulty stuff.

Read the reviews on the seller from other people. Anything over like 95% feedback is good. CPUs and mobos are pretty cheap could find a Sandy Bridge i5 and mobo for quite cheap. But if you read the sellers feedback if everyone is saying he's good and ships stuff properly ect it's good.

please please please get AT LEAST a 730 for the gpu, so much more power for £7 more (8 times as many cores)

Beautiful! Thanks for the tip. If I can get the components I need for under £200 (or maybe £220) I would be happy. Any builds that you could recommend for that sort of tiny budget?

eBay or Amazon can work wonders. eBay you can find i5-2500k and Z77 mobos quite cheap along with r9 380s or HD7950s

I use reddit hardware swap. they could easily find a PC in your range, but its generally US. I havent looked but im assuming theres a UK version also

There is a UK one; but craigslist (as long as you pickup in person) AND check it works. Ebay and some tech forums are good.

If you want new you can go APU.

Intel's HD graphics is better than GT610.

Buy used PC components.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

After reading a few of the replies and looking around a little, maybe £200 was a bit tight. If I could gather another £100, how would the build below do? Again, the only game I play at present is Football Manager 2015. I am looking at getting into PC gaming in the near future though.

CPU: Intel Core i3-4170 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  (£88.20 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: ASRock H81M Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£39.37 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory  (£33.06 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GT 730 2GB Video Card  (£49.99 @ CCL Computers)
Case: Xigmatek Spirit M MicroATX Mini Tower Case  (£24.16 @ CCL Computers)
Power Supply: be quiet! 300W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (£32.40 @ Aria PC)
Total: £296.13
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I'd still take a serious look at used for some parts.
