I have been looking around for a couple months trying to build a PC that I can use for 1080p 30-60fps gaming and also for school use (research papers, projects, etc.). I've been given two build quotes by local parts dealers(listed below) Both stores have offered to price match online offers and my budget is 1500 +/- 100 dollars of flexibility. Do these look like good builds for what I'm attempting to do or should I use a different build(Open to suggestions)?I'd appreciate any and all help offered. Thanks!

The first Build is this. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Mc8YFT

The second build is this one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kBV6t6

Skylake CPU's can only handle up to 2133mhz, so getting faster RAM won't do anything and will lock to 2133. Also your case and PSU are pretty shit on your second build. If you want a good build in Skylake, I highly recommend this:

Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($162.99 @ Directron)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card  ($318.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)  ($93.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $1198.60
