GPU randomly starts Coilwhining (MSI GAMING EDITION 970 GTX)

hey, i havent had any coilwhine for as long i got my gpu and suddenly since yesterday i notice my gpu is starting to coilwhine

 

now i know that coilwhine issues are known about gpus,  but mine didnt in the begin and suddenly starts with it after a year o_o ... any1 else have had a non coilwhining card turning into a coilwhining card?  ... if so what gpu did u have and when did it start coilwhining?

what brand is it? is it EVGA?

msi gaming , but yeah it didnt coilwhine before and randomly started :l it seems weird to me

Mine did for a little bit, but it doesn't do it anymore. I don't know what caused it. All I do know is that it's not anything bad happening to your card. Just the power stage doing its job.

Run F@H for 36 hours with lots of cooling. Get a desk fan and blow it at the gpu if you need. This has fixed coil whine for me many times

my card is coilwhining at only 35-45*C :( and i already got a fan blowing straight in my case atm.. it actually makes the coilwhining more loud by having a fan blowing onto it

yah i know but its pretty annoying xD i keep listening to it haha bzzzzzz :( mine is actually doing it pretty loud ( pretty constant aswell :l )

 

got all my case fans on 2000rpm yet i hear the coilwhine above the fans :L

Try limiting the framerate, may help.

run folding at home for 36 hours or longer though, just make sure it stays cool while doing so. Making the card run hard for that long gets the coils quieted down
