Hey all. I'm building a mini itx PC with either a 750 ti low profile or Asus 960/970, and I have a question about PicoMini PSU. I have been able to find some that go up to 250w, which would be fine for a G3258 and 750 ti build, but if I wanted a stronger GPU such as the Asus 960/970, I would probably need a stronger PSU that is at least 300w. Are there any that go beyond 250w? If not, would 250w be sufficient for a Asus 960 mini?

Thanks :P

What I was going to do :

power mobo and gpu independently ( I was going to use a thin mini itx mobo and external 19v psu )

what you can do if you want a normal itx mobo

Power gpu / mobo off the same 250w transformer, but you need to keep it cool they told me it could easily do 300w if kept cool ( and then this is a perfect fit for a dell 330w external PSU )

EDIT: PM me if you need help, I looked in to this a lot ( was going to build a laptop from desktop parts ) , then dumped the idea due to budget

-SNIP-

Something like the HD-Plex 250W unit would be able to handle the system, the Pico unit can't sustain their max rated wattage from what I seen from others using them:

I though op was suggesting the HD plex :P my bad

I would go for the HDplex and Dell 330w adapter, just make sure you get a power efficient 970 and cpu
