Kraken X61 Vs Corsair H105

I've been looking into a bit of watercooling for the CPU, the simple question is... which is better? and why?

Kraken x61 since it has software that keeps it quiet when it doesn't need to be running at full speed. I have had the Kraken x60 in the past and it kept my system really nice and cold. Can't really speak on performance but based on the Kraken x60 its amazing. However I believe the corsair newer models come with simaliar performance and software. Question is which one fits your budget better? Just my two cents. Someone may have better information tho.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

If your mobo BIOS has good fan controls. It is no worse than using specific fan program to manage the temp and noise.

Pretty much. I prefer Asus software over NZXT, even tho I had a NZXT Sentry 2.

The H105 fit's my budget more but considering the price difference I expected there to be a big difference. I see a lot of the feedback recommended the Kraken x61 considering the software which you can monitor the speed which is absolutely awesome to know! If you'd like to know more details about my budget, this is my personal notes https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17ln89jMXG6OYuHeoXaaepsOoU3D6kX0XvrwujtiiC7k/edit#gid=0

and my pc part picker http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/8PXXQ7

I'm completely new to watercooling so I'm not quite sure which is the best option

Since your case supports the 280mm radiator, I would go with that option. There's more surface area than a thicker 240mm. Since the fans are bigger, they can push more air through the fins for more efficient cooling.

X61 is much much better. The h110i gt(x) is only on par with the x61.

The h105 is comparable to the h110i (not gt or gtx).

If you wanted to go cheaper 240mm route I'd suggest the lepa aquachanger 240. Its a perfectly fine 240 aio at an extremely competitive price. Hell you could buy two super nice fans for it and still be cheaper than the nzxt x61

The kraken is awesome. I love mine. But in terms of temp performance, it isn't much better than the h105.
