WAN Show Youtube

Why does Linus not stream the WAN show straight to YouTube instead of twitch. It not so difficult to do anymore and it saves him the time of uploading to YouTube seperatly.

Is this for the sake of supporting  Both twitch and Youtube.

Twitch is better. Youtube live was done to counter twitch. In terms of the way it works, youtube has a lot of catching up to do. Twitch also delivers better audience.

Switching media causes loss of viewership, look at vessel for god's sake, it's also not like they don't have the capacity to do it. No editing involved really, just hit record, put it through the encoder (maybe not even that) and then sling it onto youtube

That would happen on youtube too, because that's a problem with his setup with XSplit, which he would need to broadcast to youtube.

his poor razer is already running with the fan at full throttle just for twitch, i think it'd give it a heart attack to then stream to YT too. Also, if he's using the razer's wifi, he'll have bandwith problems streaming to two places at once at 1080p I reckon, not so if cable though, but I honestly suspect wifi

Nope he's using A USB to ethernet adapter

fair enough, but for now it would be impractical and probably not possible without a lot of dropped frames.

 

Even for the desktop PC, if he had a 4790k in it, it would likely hammer it pretty damn hard.

i can't remember but there was a tech you tuber doing both

i wanna see a 36 thread xeon WANPc lmao, that would crush streaming, pair it with a 970 or something, anything higher is pointless because they're not gaming on WAN show

Twitch is also more profitable according to many people that don't have any problem comparing Twitch channels with 1-2K viewers for each live stream to Youtube channels with 3-4-500k views . on average Twitch doesn't make you reach, but apparently is way more profitable compared to Youtube .

 

Youtube right now is basically THE archive for the video on the internet .
