Cable Management

Go to solution Solved by Picky Peep,

They're expensive and you have to make them yourself but you can get premade from Cablemod and other such online stores.

I don't have pictures, but I am planning on building a new computer (For my moms house) And I recently built a computer at my dads, I'm more restrained money-wise at my moms, but I think I can do it better. Anyways I'm wondering where you get cables that are blue or red or any color. I'm planning on going back to the computer at my dads and Completely rewire things, this time with cable combs. And see if I could make it looker neater with my black and blue theme.

Thank you  :)

It's very time consuming to make your own custom cables, and it's pretty expensive to buy custom cables (100ish USD). You can get cable extensions which are less expensive but only work well if you have place to hide where the cable extension begins. I use the NZXT cable extensions.

Wow, even the ones from Cablemod are really expensive, I'll look into it, thanks

It is a CX600 semi modular, I'm mostly wondering about the graphics card, because that is the main wire you see from the window on my case

Welcome to the Forums!

Cable mod ones considering the work involved are fairly cheap due to the time needed to sleeve, but as said cable extensions would be the best especially on a lower on PSU's since you can interchange them if you upgrade in the future.

Could you link me or direct me to a place that sells cable extensions, I'm having a hard time finding them

If your looking for premade extensions ones like Silverstone's or Bitfenix Alchemy are good:

http://www.amazon.com/BitFenix-Alchemy-Multisleeve-24-Pin-Extension/dp/B00HVBPS6W

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HWQUK96/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687462&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00HVBPS6W&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0NJAX75RTRXK7G8YGQZF

If your looking for fully custom extensions places like Icemodz or Main FrameCustoms can make custom designed sleeving extensions.

What is the difference between these sleeves and what CableMod sells?

Ohhh shit, I see, I was thinking of everything all wrong, extensions extend your power cord, you just have to hide the original, the other thing was buying the cord itself and getting rid of the other cord. Right?

Yes the cablemod ones completely replace the original modular cables with sleeved ones specific to only that PSU.
