Will the two be compatible?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

Adobe has terminated support for Flash mobile version.

Windows Phone 7 was the last phone that supported Flash player.

When Adobe purchased Macromedia in 2005, they were never interested in Flash. And development has essentially stopped since. They released what was in the work, completed what was in the pipeline, but it was done. Every new version of Flash had significantly less new features, and now by the time Flash 11 was out, it was pretty much dead. Right now they release a new security update and for some reason they increase every now and then the version number, pretty much. So they have been cutting support for everything over the years.

Flash is dying because Adobe started to kill it a few years after they acquired Macromedia. If they didn't want it to die, they would open source the language and it's player, allowing it to be part of web standard, emended in web browser much like Java-Script, be far more secure, optimized, and probably full GPU rendered as it is all vector based, and GPUs loves vectors. CPUs hate them. That is why we have GPUs in our system for our games. Adobe could have made money from it's advance IDE, much like Microsoft does with Visual Studio. But nope.

To my knowledge they are no alternative Flash plug-in/players for any current smart phone.

They are all for Windows, for example there is: Scaleform GFx which a hacked up flash player plug-in which goal is to use the GPU only to render all the graphics of flash project reducing CPU load considerably, and have done some big CPU side performance improvements. Basically, if Adobe was interested in Flash, we probably would have that back ages ago, and have full smartphone support. Scaleform also extends Flash to support 3D visuals, and some games uses it for its menus. Unreal Engine supports Scaleform. So I guess Flash continues to exists in that form.
