Would a 500w psu be okay with a 980

I'm stuck between getting a gtx 970 or 980 because I have the money and it would last me longer on 1080p. Would I be okay with only a 500w psu for the gtx 980, my system specs are on my page.

It's okay - it's okay for a 290 so a 980 is no problem so long as the PSU is good quality.

500w is good for a 970 or 980. It must be a good PSU.

 

Don't get the 980, It's not worth the money.

 

Buy a 970, It's good for 1080p.

It means it can't handle the load, it's getting kinda dangerous. The CX series is made for light workloads, not a energyhungry overclocked 980Ti.
