It probably has kahil (yeah I couldnt spell it right) switches, they are not that great. But at least you get a 5 year warranty and a cheaper price.

They don't have the same quality control in manufacturing as cherry switches. They aren't crap by any means, but don't expect the same cherry like quality.

so is it worth the double paying for a chrrey mx keyboard instead of this keyboard ?

You can get quick fire at around 80-100 dollars, pricier but still not double. It depends on you whether you consider it worth it.

Kailh switches are pretty much the Chinese knock-offs of Cherry. Their quality control is not great and as a result, some people have reported random keys feeling very different from the other ones. I don't own a Kailh keyboard, but I'm sure that not all their key switches are like that. Just be ready to make an exchange if there's something wrong with the keyboard.

I've had a Kailh Blue keyboard, which is actually this keyboard - but the tenkeyless version. This is a very cheap keyboard, considering that it is mechanical AND also has backlighting. So it's quite good value if you were to purchase it for that low price.

So basically it is the Chinese copy of the Cherry MX Blue switch, so essentially they feel the same/very similar. However as said, they don't have the same quality control levels like Cherry do, so the actuation force needed for the switches can vary by a very small amount on different Kailh keyboards. I looked it up, and these are some specifications :

Actuation forces : (Centinewton's & gramforce are essentially the same)

Cherry MX Blue : 50 cN

Kailh Blue : 60 gf (tactile force) 50gf (operation force)

I'm not sure if that right, but they look to be equal I think. Although in my own experience, my Ducky Cherry MX Blue board feels heavier than the Kailh Blue board.

All up, I reckon it's a fine purchase, as it is quite good value. They really do feel very similar, so that won't be a problem. It's all up to whether the quality of the switches will last for a long time - this is pretty much the only difference. But a 5 year warranty is very long, and who knows what you'll have in mind by then.

However, if possible try go Cooler Master or even Rosewill - as they are somewhat cheap as well. Hope this helps you choose :)

Source : Have compared both Kailh and Cherry MX Blue keyboards in house.
