my friend owns a prebuild alienware pc with a 645 gpu

the gpu crashes when watching Youtube at random intervals

Buy a new gpu? They are quite cheap

how do you know it's the gpu causing the problem?

maybe reinstall flash player or deinstall completely and use html5, reinstall/try different web browser, reinstall graphics driver, just to name some of the approaches you can take
