Dualshock 4 controller with Windows 10 HELP!

Hi, so i have been trying for so long to get my DS4 controller to work with Dark Souls 1 on Windows 10 and i just cant get it to work... I have been trying a lot of guides these two included:

My problem with the game is not that my controller does not work, its that the inputs are all screwed up and my camera keeps spinning out of control whenever its plugged in. Please look at the two guides before you try and help so you know what i have been trying.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So. I have a Dualshock 4. I installed DS4Windows directly after getting Windows 10 once it was released. It's always worked for me in Dark Souls. Weird that it doesn't work for you.

I'll need to try some tests to make sure it still works since Windows 10 has updated. Maybe it's been broken recently?

I personally use a modified Xinput DLL to get my ps3 controller to work on my PC. There's a program that can generate the DLL for you and also allows you to setup the controls but I forgot what it's called

Search for "ds4 scp server tool", I use it and it works. Also look for a video for how to install. Not hard but you need to know what to do =)

X360ce which is what I use. It's really quite good if you know what you're doing.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

You're going to have to use X360ce for Dark Souls. DaS and DS2 require exclusive mode on both DS4Windows and InputMapper, and that damn Xbox app that comes with Win10 broke it. You can get exclusive mode working if you kill explorer.exe and connect your controller before restarting it, but that's kind of a hassle. Just use X360ce until they fix it.

I wish more games still supported DirectInput. Having to use xinput wrappers and such just to be able to use a better controller than those xbox controllers is kinda BS...
