Why Isn't there a 3D Printing Section?

I was just wondering why there isn't a section here for 3D printing? I heard that they were shooting some stuff with 3D printers? I think it'd be a cool idea to have a section for 3D printing, maybe a group like the folding group, but with 3D printing, like get something together where the community prints prosthetic parts for people? I'd be willing to donate time and filament on my printer for a cause like that. Just an idea, but I'm just one person, if we can get a group of people to do some cool 3D printing, I think we could gain some publicity for LMG maybe?? IDK just spitting out some ideas

I think at this moment in time it's too niche to really have a topic dedicated to the subject.

 

Maybe in a year's time it could be more viable.

idk i guess not enough people really use 3D printing. its such a specific topic that you need to know alot about it to understand what everything means.

A thready maybe, but it's own forum would probably be too far since there's realistically a handful of people here with one.
