Windows keep changing time?

I clearly set the timezone on my windows to UTC-5:00 Eastern Time US&Canada. But it keeps changing, sometimes it change to 1 hour ahead, sometimes 3 to 4 hours behind. I unchecked the Daylight Saving Time option. Please Help

It sounds like your CMOS battery is going bad. You will have to change it out. Usually they use CR2032 battery which you can buy almost anywhere for a couple of dollars.

 

I would recommend buying an Energizer one or something that will last a long time so you wont have to change it out again for a long time.

My mobo is the z97 gaming 5 from msi. I got it last week. But I did took out the batter once to reset the cmos, maybe I placed it back the wrong way?

No my mobo is brand new, i think its because I took out the battery once and place it back the wrong way? maybe?

Could be, though it'd be impressive if your system vibrations manage to loosen the battery every once in a while
