This might sound stupid but i had a thought about cloning display.

I have Asus R9 280x DC2 top and I know it has 4 outputs. I am using HDMI at the moment for my monitor.

Also I have HDMI & DVI outputs from my onboard graphics.

So the thought is --

Is it possible to clone the display of addon GPU to onboard graphics output.

(Meaning, can I get the same output that my addon GPU is producing via onboard outputs)

(PS: Go easy on me, I know I sounded stupid there. Asking just out of curiosity)

So what you're saying is that you want to be able to utilise the power of your graphics card through your motherboard video outputs?

Yes, it's possible just not on your motherboard. You need a motherboard that supports Lucidlogix Virtu MVP. Then, it will work fine.

lucid virtue should let you use your motherboards video outputs, and still let them controlled by the gpu. Not sure on the technicalities of it, but check if your motherboards has an option for it in the bios.

Thanks for input.

I asked it just due to curiosity, not going to attempt it.
