Producing with Onboard Audio

Opinions on producing with Onboard?

I produce with onboard being:

• a teen
• a low budget scrub
• newbie to audio production

Does a SoundCard really matter? I honestly can't hear the difference with my $50 earbuds.

You may get hiss or inteference but even that isn't reaally solved by a soundcard. When you're serious about it get an interface.

When you'll have some good audio monitors then you can consider buying an audio interface

Onboard on what?  A laptop? Desktop?  High end mobo?  Low end mobo?

 

I can tell you my onboard laptop audio has noise out the ass that I really only hear clearly with my custom IEMs.

Mid grade mobo. You can listen to some of my work and see yourself, but most of my friends tell me that it sound professional (LOL no) and it came out of a proper studio compared to something like garage band. My mobo is Asus H97 plus
