4:3 Stretched and Windows 10

BlackMirror

Yo!

So I always played CS:GO with a stretched 4:3 screen and since I updated to Windows 10 it would not work.

Than I look around I found a fix, where you have to change some setting in the Nvidia Control Panel (--> Set to Fullscreen;-->Ignore Scaling from Games ).

But since ( I think ) an update that fix has stopped working and I have to play with Black Bars again which is meDh..

So does anyone of you have the same issue?

Is there another fix?

Thanks for help!

if you open your screen settings of windows (right click on deskop if nothing had changed): is it called a generic pnp monitor? then you'll have the problem that the driver for the monitor is not supported on win 10 (same case with some old monitor on win 8.1)

EDIT: is it in general or only cs?

EDIT two: btw ortsangabe richtig? @BlackMirror

Only CS and actually a lot of other players have the same problem right now.

dann mag es vielleicht wirlich ein Problem von CS mit Win 10 und den Treibern sein, hast dus mal mit älteren Versionen des GPU-Treibers probiert?

Question? Why play CS:GO with a 4:3 aspect ratio? Explain to me the benefit of 4:3 versus 16:9, you get more pixels (more vision) with 16:9.

the guys become fatter and are easyer to hit

But moving your mouse horizontally will be more sensitive then vertically...

I could get why you'd wanna play at 4:3, but not why you would then scale it to 16:9.

Only English is allowed. But yeah trying to use an older driver or resetting all the settings might help.

It isn't more sensitive in any direction. The pixels are stretched horizontally, so your mouse still moves the same amount of pixels per length measurement of choice. It literally takes 10 minutes to get used to again.

I played 4:3 stretched for a while as well, and you really feel more accurate. I went back to 16:9 though since I want to use my native resolution for sharpness and higher fov.
